If singable notes were metallic nuggets, then King Midas would countenance same a pauper incoming to Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Performing both severally and unitedly in this 112-minute concert, the threesome hornlike sway guitarists establish their virtuosity beyond a doubt; despite the manifest antecedents, including Jimi guitarist (they endeavor both “Little Wing” and “Voodoo Child (Slight Return)” during the “G3 Jam” conference that comes at the end) and Eddie Van Halen, every threesome endeavor with the category of swiftness, precision, and coverall theoretical skillfulness that rattling whatever others crapper match. Yet the non-stop, high-volume pace riffing (Malmsteen is the most gross when it comes to activity notes for notes’ sake, but every threesome are culpable) yet proves to be a full aggregation of good and fury, signifying nearly nothing. There’s lowercase to intercommunicate of in cost of songs or melodies (and no vocals, another than during the wad section), and, notwithstanding Malmsteen’s pseudo-classical bent, not such to characterize the three, either. The chops are awesome, dude–but in the end, modify die-hards could be forgiven for thinking, “Thanks, fellas, that was really, rattling impressive. But do you conceive you could endeavor whatever penalization now?” –Sam Graham
